Hola Amigos’ After School programs for Primary School aged children provide a safe, friendly environment to learn and support children’s natural curiosity about the world around them.

After School Language and Culture Program
This 45 minute program is for children in Prep to Grade 6 and is designed to create interest and curiosity towards second languages and the greater world.
Children learn basic vocabulary, including numbers to 100, colours, greetings and how to communicate simple personal information (e.g. “My name is…”, “I like to…”) delivered through a range of songs, stories, performances and conversations. They also experience South American culture through music and dance, or the class may investigate a common topic of interest about a culture or Country, for example the Aztec and Mayan cultures.

After School Language Extension Program
This 1 hour program is designed for children from Prep to Grade 6 to build on the foundations of language studies through a set curriculum. With a smaller group size (maximum of 6 children) it also offers more one-on-one opportunities with the Instructor. Using a mix of craft activities, creative play, music, dance and more formal learning, this class focuses on developing a wider vocabulary and introduces the basics of grammar.
The children begin with the text book ‘Spanish for young Children’ for ages 4-7 and ‘My first book of Poetry’ by Rita Wirkala (All Bilingual Press).
